What an adult movie can and can't teach you

Not so long ago I've heard a man boasting he gained his experience from adult movies. This was quite surprising to hear. I always thought of adult movies being a kind of shortest way to get off. We are used to look at x-rated movies and magazines as a matter you don't openly discuss, however, millions of people hide the truth about their porn addiction and often blame themselves for browsing and watching "forbidden" material.

First of all, they are quite informative, I mean that so many people discover the variety of sexual practices like oral sex, anal sex and dozens of different sex positions watching these movies and get aroused by them.

Another question is that what is shown in a movie can be absolutely unsuitable in real life. Porn movies show ideal sex life where men and women moan and groan during sexual acts and have amazing sex every time once they touch each other.

Women orgasm from the intercourse and are always ready to fulfill every sexual whim. Men have powerful erections and big penises and can ride for hours to bring like dozens women to orgasm. Doesn't it make us envy and lead to a thought that we can be just as good lovers as they look? In fact, this jealousy is absolutely useless. Many pron movies show only one side of sexual life - the one without problems and worries. If you think that any of those adult actors would dare experiment with a half of what they do in a movie, most will say that they'd prefer quite a conventional way of making love.

One thing and probably the biggest benefit of adult movies is that they show sex very openly without restrictions and limitations. You may say that there are too many things that look dirty and you will never do them with your partner. But frankly speaking millions of people do fantasize about things that you may consider perverted.

Of course, the downside of such sexual freedom that no one talks about protection and birth control or emotional problems you usually have when you are in a relationship. And for a teenager who is little familiar with real sex life, this may lead to a thought that sex is just physical pleasure one can have with no responsibility.
In fact, I am not convincing to watch adult movies and see them as an educational source to learn sex from. What I am trying to say is that we can look at it more unprejudiced and understand that our physical side can go far behind the norms and standards of social life.
